How Our Network Works
Talk to a local provider
Who You Talk To
Many people think a referral service sends out its own repair crew. Not so. Dadfor Heating & Air does not do the work. When you reach out, you are connected with an independent HVAC provider in our network. That provider is a separate local business.
What Happens on the Call
Expect a short, friendly chat. The provider will ask a few simple things:
- What is the system doing, or not doing?
- How old is the equipment?
- What type of home do you have?
- Where are you located?
Some may offer a visit or an estimate. Many providers can respond quickly, but timing varies. Ask what the next step is and when it can happen.
What to Ask a Provider
Ask before you hire. Here are questions worth asking, and what a good answer sounds like:
- Are you licensed and insured for this work? A good answer is a clear yes, with details you can check.
- Will I get a written quote? A good answer is yes, with parts and labor listed.
- What caused the problem? A good answer is plain and specific, not vague.
- Are there other options? A good answer compares repair and replacement fairly.
Take notes as you go. If two providers give you very different answers, ask each one to explain why. A fair provider will not mind the question.
Red Flags to Watch For
- Pressure to decide on the spot
- A price that changes with no reason
- Refusing to put the quote in writing
- Skipping permits when your area requires them
You Are in Control
Talking to a provider is not a commitment. You can ask questions, compare quotes and say no. There is no obligation to hire anyone you meet through Dadfor Heating & Air.
